With rumors circulating that Pokemon GO for the Apple Watch had been scrapped, Niantic disseminated a tweet on Saturday saying that the popular game will be coming to Apple's timepiece soon. Depending on what Niantic means as soon, the promise it made to release the Pokemon GO app for the Apple Watch before the end of the year might be in peril. The Pokemon GO app for Apple Watch is designed to keep players from having to stare at their iPhone screen all day. It gives Pokemon trainers an idea of where they are in the game and alerts them when a Pokemon is nearby. We're less than weeks away from the end of the year and many companies have decided to share their future plans with their fans. Twitch is among those companies that want to offer their customers a sneak peek at what's to come. As far as the mobile app goes, Twitch has major plans for next year. The company announced that it will launch a native streaming service from the Twitch mobile application. The functionality will be especially created to allow streamers to stay in touch with their community even when they're on the move. Basically, Twitch users will be able to stream live from their smartphones as much as they want, whenever they want. According to Twitch, when the new service will be launched, it will default to the IRL category. Super Mario Run is a phenomenon. We're still not totally sure if it's a great game or not, but people have obviously been starved for Nintendo and Mario games on smartphones, so the game is hugely popular and generating a ton of cash for Nintendo. However, the server problems may be causing the game to eat through data. Testing has shown that Super Mario Run can use up anywhere from 40 to 60 megabytes of data per hour which can add up fast. If you were to play the game for a couple hours a day, it would only take about two weeks to use up 5 gigabytes of data. So, users have to be careful about when and where they play. A few days ago, we told you that  Google Keyboard had been renamed Gboard  and would soon be available for your Android powered device. Today, we have some good news. The Gboard app can now be downloaded and installed directly from the Google Play Store. The keyboard has a number of features built right in such as Glide typing (that's when you spell out words by swiping your finger along the screen. Google Search is also integrated into the keyboard, although you will need to turn on the feature inside the keyboard settings. Other features include emoji and GIF search, and multilingual typing allows you to quickly change the language you're typing in. Google's Motion Stills app for iOS takes Live Photos that you've shot with your iPhone and turns them into cool-looking, perfectly stabilized and looping GIFs. Now the Big G has updated Motion Stills with even more editing tools allowing you to add motion-tracked text overlays to your clips, create automatic cinemagraphs, and more. Motion Text allows you to add text overlays to your Live Photos, which can then automatically follow a moving object at 1000 FPS, says Google. When Google launched  PhotoScan  last month, we were sort of impressed by the app's premise and intuitive design, but we were also disappointed with the results it produced. Back in November, PhotoScan was only capable of outputting images with a maximum resolution of 2000 x 2000 pixels (roughly the equivalent to what a 3 MP camera would produce size-wise). This, coupled with the fact that PhotoScan was easily confused when cropping and that the final results also exhibited quite a bit of compression, turned us off from Google's new image scanning app. Google has just released a new update for PhotoScan that bumps its output resolution to 3000 x 3000 pixels (roughly around 5 MP), which is a definite improvement over the previous version. Good ol' Mega Man Legendary Japanese video game developer Capcom announced that next year will see the release of all classic Mega Man titles on mobile. All of the Blue Bomber's iconic NES adventures will land on both iOS and Android in Japan in 2017. The press release makes no mention of the games coming to the West, but we'd say there's a big chance this happens sometime following the Japanese release. Mega Man is one of the most recognizable video game characters and has starred in over 100 titles. We're all anxious to get out hands on the  Super Mario Run  game for iOS devices, but that won't happen until December 15, according to Nintendo. Well, it looks like there's a way to quench that thirst for playing the beloved platformer, but only if you don't bother playing an unofficial game featuring iconic Nintendo characters. Zelda and Mario are just two of the characters present in Stars Utopia, an iOS game that accidentally made it to the App Store. Published and/or developed by someone who goes by the name Coline Wang, Stars Utopia is available for free. It features 3D graphics and comes with over 100 classic characters from all universes. Activation Lock is an iOS feature that everyone hopes they won't have to use. It was introduced with iOS 7 and it allows users to remotely lock their device, in case it's stolen or misplaced. If someone wants to use the device afterwards, they will have to connect it to a Wi-Fi network and provide the Apple ID and password that were used to lock it. Back in October, Hemanth Joseph, a security researcher, managed to crack through Activation Lock on an iPad by entering extremely long strings of characters in all fields of the Wi-Fi setup. This made iOS freeze and, when combined with opening and closing of the iPad's Smart Cover, gave Joseph access to the device's home screen. Allegedly, the loophole was later fixed by Apple with the release of iOS 10.1.1, but another researcher proved otherwise. In case we needed another tangential evidence to learn that an iPhone 8 model with OLED display is in store, here comes a report from Korean media that a flexible printed circuit board made by Samsung Display suppliers will be making its way in Apple's handset next year. Korean parts suppliers Interflex and BH are already scaling production, says the report, and Samsung Electro-Mechanics may soon be joining them.  All three are Samsung Display suppliers, indicating that these " flexible printed circuit boards " are most likely the display controllers, as Samsung is rumored to provide the bulk of the OLED screens for next year's iPhone. The end of each year sees Apple stop reviewing app and update submissions for around a week in late December. This year's annual shutdown will commence between Dec 23 and Dec 27, thus app developers are warned to submit their projects on time. Apple's policy makes it tricky for them, as Christmas Day sees the most volume of app downloads of any day in the year, due to many users receiving a new smartphone as a Christmas gift. Yet, the App Store review process won't function during Christmas. App developers must, therefore, plan ahead if they want their apps to be available for download in the winter holidays. Interestingly, Apple is taking less time off this year, compared to previous years. In 2014 and 2015, the App Store was closed for new apps and updates between Dec 22 and Dec 29. Word is Niantic plans to add the ability to trade Pokemon between players, but the developer hasn't yet confirmed when exactly the new feature will be available in Pokemon GO. A new rumor claims Niantic will release a major  Pokemon GO update  in December, which will add the long-awaited feature, as well as over 100 new normal and Legendary Pokemon. Players will also be able to raise their Pokemon as soon as they have been hatched from the eggs.  The information comes from the analysis of the game's code by people associated with web scanner PokeVS. Although it's not surprising that some of these features will be introduced into the game, it remains to be seen when exactly  Niantic  will announce them. Rumors from Apple’s supply chain in Asia are indicating that production of a 10.5-inch iPad Pro will begin next month, in time for an early 2017 debut. To accompany wh at will be a fourth screen size option across the iPad line, the 10.5-inch model will allegedly be the first Apple product to feature an enhanced A10X CPU, basically a beefed-up version of the A10 chip running in the current  iPhone 7 . During Tuesday's sit down with the  New York Times , President-Elect Donald Trump mentioned a conversation he had after the election with Apple CEO Tim Cook. After the election, Cook reached out to Trump to congratulate him, according to the President-Elect.
