Depending on what Niantic means as soon, the promise it made to release the Pokemon GO app for the Apple Watch before the end of the year might be in peril. We're less than weeks away from the end of the year and many companies have decided to share their future plans with their fans. Twitch is among those companies that want to offer their customers a sneak peek at what's to come. As far as the mobile app goes, Twitch has major plans for next year. The company announced that it will launch a native streaming service from the Twitch mobile application. The functionality will be especially created to allow streamers to stay in touch with their community even when they're on the move. Basically, Twitch users will be able to stream live from their smartphones as much as they want, whenever they want. According to Twitch, when the new service will be launched, it will default to the IRL category. A few days ago, we told you that  Google Keyboard had been renamed Gboard  and would soon be available for your Android powered device. Today, we have some good news. The Gboard app can now be downloaded and installed directly from the Google Play Store. The keyboard has a number of features built right in such as Glide typing (that's when you spell out words by swiping your finger along the screen. Google Search is also integrated into the keyboard, although you will need to turn on the feature inside the keyboard settings. Other features include emoji and GIF search, and multilingual typing allows you to quickly change the language you're typing in. With the app, voice typing allows you to dictate your emails and texts; if you have a large-screened device, the one-handed mode allows you to pin the QWERTY to the left or right of the screen.With support for 36 new languages, Gboard now works with 120 different languages overall. Google's Motion Stills app for iOS takes Live Photos that you've shot with your iPhone and turns them into cool-looking, perfectly stabilized and looping GIFs. Now the Big G has updated Motion Stills with even more editing tools allowing you to add motion-tracked text overlays to your clips, create automatic cinemagraphs, and more. Motion Text allows you to add text overlays to your Live Photos, which can then automatically follow a moving object at 1000 FPS, says Google. This happens thanks to advanced machine learning algorithms capable of tracking individual object and camera movement and differentiating between the two. It's pretty neat stuff! When Google launched  PhotoScan  last month, we were sort of impressed by the app's premise and intuitive design, but we were also disappointed with the results it produced. Back in November, PhotoScan was only capable of outputting images with a maximum resolution of 2000 x 2000 pixels (roughly the equivalent to what a 3 MP camera would produce size-wise). This, coupled with the fact that PhotoScan was easily confused when cropping and that the final results also exhibited quite a bit of compression, turned us off from Google's new image scanning app. Google has just released a new update for PhotoScan that bumps its output resolution to 3000 x 3000 pixels (roughly around 5 MP), which is a definite improvement over the previous version. Last month we reported that  TellTale Games might be making a Guardians of the Galaxy game . And since it was just a rumor, we kept our fingers crossed, eagerly waiting for an official confirmation. The end of each year sees Apple stop reviewing app and update submissions for around a week in late December. This year's annual shutdown will commence between Dec 23 and Dec 27, thus app developers are warned to submit their projects on time. Apple's policy makes it tricky for them, as Christmas Day sees the most volume of app downloads of any day in the year, due to many users receiving a new smartphone as a Christmas gift. Yet, the App Store review process won't function during Christmas. App developers must, therefore, plan ahead if they want their apps to be available for download in the winter holidays. Interestingly, Apple is taking less time off this year, compared to previous years. In 2014 and 2015, the App Store was closed for new apps and updates between Dec 22 and Dec 29. Android usually gets a lot of flak for being prone to hacking and leaking personal info, ubiquitous as it is. Research from digital security firm Zscaler, however, pegs iOS apps to be a bit leakier in terms of user info, though most of the information that emanates from mobile apps there in general was found to be pretty benign. On average, Android apps that passed through the company's cloud transaction, leaked user data in 0.3% of the cases, while that figure was 0.5% for iOS apps, yet the number there is derived from a larger sample. Both are not big numbers, though, plus it is mostly device info and location data that are shared. Only a fraction of the leaked data was found to be personally identifiable info (PII). This is where Android and iOS differ again - just 0.2% of the iOS leaks included PII data, while on Android that share was 3%. Adding to its recent app publishing spree, Facebook debuted a new application called 'Events'. It's an app that caters specifically to those that use the social network as their events calendar. According to Facebook, more than 100 million people have this practice, so it makes sense that the feature has been consolidated into a single place to keep up with nearby events and find new things to do in their area. Launching Events lets you quickly catch up on things your friends are interested in, recently published events by Pages you follow, and updates from events you are interested in or attending. Events can be browsed by time, location, and personal interests. Facebook recently announced that a new update for its social networking application is now rolling out to  iOS devices . Along with the update's announcement, Facebook also released a detailed changelog that includes all the new features and improvements added to the app. The latest Facebook update is meant to offer users additional ways to take action faster once they have found something they wish to purchase or a place they want to go. For example, when you're ordering food, you will now be able to do that directly from restaurants  Facebook Pages .
